Agreement
By using the storefront or placing an order, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not submit an order. Additional terms shown by Stripe or our roasting and delivery partner may apply to their services.
The service and the parties
Scouting Coffee operates the Scouting Coffee storefront and related platform. Stripe processes payments. A third-party roasting and delivery partner prepares and ships accepted coffee orders. Blue Ridge Council is the launch council beneficiary and controls its own use and distribution of council commissions.
The storefront is intended for adults who can enter a binding purchase agreement. You are responsible for accurate account, delivery, and payment information.
Orders, pricing, and payment
The current listed coffee price is $20.00 per bag. Shipping and applicable tax are separate unless checkout expressly states otherwise. Prices, products, and availability can change before an order is submitted.
Submitting checkout is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted only after payment is confirmed and the order is successfully recorded. A return page, pending status, or cart state alone is not proof of acceptance. We may reject or cancel an order for payment failure, unavailable inventory, incorrect pricing, suspected fraud, an invalid delivery address, or a failed fulfillment connection. If a captured payment is canceled, the appropriate refund will be initiated.
Monthly subscriptions
A monthly subscription renews automatically at the price and cadence shown at checkout until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge the saved payment method for recurring orders, shipping, and applicable tax.
Available changes, payment updates, invoices, and cancellation are handled through the secure customer portal. A request is complete only after the portal or account service confirms it. Cancellation stops future renewals according to the timing shown in the portal and does not automatically reverse an order already accepted for fulfillment.
Roasting, shipping, and delivery
Coffee is intended to be roasted and shipped by our third-party roasting and delivery partner after order acceptance. Production and delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Carrier events, weather, address issues, partner capacity, and other conditions can affect timing.
You are responsible for providing a complete deliverable address and reviewing tracking when available. Risk and title transfer as required by applicable law and the checkout terms. Contact the support method included with the order confirmation promptly about damage, loss, or an incorrect item.
Problems, refunds, and charge disputes
Coffee is a consumable product. Refund, replacement, and return eligibility depends on the issue, applicable law, and any policy displayed at checkout or with the receipt. Do not return food products without instructions. Contact support with the order reference and a clear description of the problem.
If you believe a charge is unauthorized, contact support and your payment provider. Abuse of charge disputes, promotions, account access, or the ordering system may lead to account restrictions.
Council commission and troop attribution
Each accepted, paid bag is intended to generate the displayed $6.00 commission for Blue Ridge Council, subject to finalized reporting, refunds, disputes, and payout readiness. A troop selection associates the order with that unit for council reporting. It is not a direct payment, charitable receipt, or promise that the troop will receive a particular amount.
The council decides whether and how to share its commission. Scouting Coffee supplies attribution reporting but does not control the council's internal allocation decisions.
Accounts and acceptable use
Secure email links and session cookies protect account access. You must not share a sign-in link, attempt to access another customer, interfere with checkout or reporting, automate abusive requests, copy protected brand assets, or use the service unlawfully.
You are responsible for activity completed through a valid session under your control. Notify support promptly if you believe account access has been compromised.
Brand and content rights
Scouting Coffee, participating council identities, product artwork, photographs, copy, and software may be protected by trademark, copyright, or other rights. Purchasing coffee does not grant permission to reproduce or commercially use those materials. Scouting America and council marks remain subject to their owners' rules.
Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided subject to availability. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a specific fundraising result, a particular council distribution, or delivery by an exact date.
To the extent permitted by law, Scouting Coffee is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date identifies the published version. Terms presented when an order is submitted govern that order unless law requires otherwise.
